Hey Everyone!
So much has happened in the last few weeks that I think I’m just going to summarize and use gif magic to try to cover it all quickly!
1) Thanksgiving was pretty much like this…
2) I have gotten to be pretty much like this with my host family…
And now I’m just like…
3) My emotions have been like this one minute…
and then like this the next…
4) I met some Baptist missionaries that might move to Celica and I was pretty much like…
5) My counterpart got me a desk and I was like…
But our office still doesn’t have running water so I’m kind of like…
6) I went on a field trip with my youth group and it was pretty much just like this…
7) I went to several open houses for my youth’s schools and I was like…
8) I went to my first city-wide dance in Celica and got a shout-out and was like…
10) Participated in a parade with the Red Cross youth and we were all like…
and then we passed by a bar full of drunk men and they all started yelling at me like…
And all of the youth were like…
And I was just like…
12) I then went to my second city-wide dance for Founder’s day in Celica and all of the men were like…
Then my friends and I were like…
So after a little bit we were just like…
13) I helped another volunteer with a Christmas arts & crafts activity at a Children’s home and it pretty much went like this…
14) After the Christmas activity we made sugar cookies and brownies and at first the other volunteer’s host family was like…
Then we were like…
And then the family was like…
15) I helped the youth paint our office building and we were pretty much like…
Sooooo that’s pretty much everything that’s happened the last few weeks… this week we’re having our Christmas party with the youth and our board members! I am also going to try to bake cookies with my youth and potentially make cake balls (my personal tradition) too if I can find an oven!
My friend is coming to visit soon and we are planning on going to the beach for the holidays so hopefully we’ll be like this…
While everyone else back home is like this…
This will probably be my last post before the New Year so I hope everyone has a happy and safe Christmas and New Year’s Eve!
Hope everything is great in your part of the world!
See you in 2014!
Peace out!
